A modern firm.
Traditional values.
HECHT:RIGAS is built on the conviction that a law firm shouldn't have to choose between efficiency and integrity. We use the best tools available — because they make our advice better and more precise. But technology doesn't change what actually matters: integrity.
Integrity isn't a buzzword. It's a position we hold.
A commercial starting point
The first question is rarely a legal one. Can the problem be solved practically? Is litigation the right answer at all — commercially and financially? We advise on decisions, not just statutes.
Depth of expertise
Legal precision is not negotiable. Advice that doesn't hold up helps no one. We go deep on the subject matter — and teach alongside our practice at Denmark's leading law schools.
Candour over comfort
An honest assessment of a case's strengths, risks and economics — even when the answer is uncomfortable — is worth more than a yes that costs the client time and money.
Nikolas Hecht Rigas is an attorney-at-law and the managing partner of HECHT:RIGAS Advokatanpartsselskab. As a business lawyer he advises owner-managed companies, growth businesses and established corporates on corporate law, tax, business law and dispute resolution — nationally and internationally.
With particular expertise in tax law, Nikolas has many years of experience conducting complex tax and duties cases before the Tax Appeals Board (Skatteankenævnet), the National Tax Tribunal (Landsskatteretten) and the courts. His in-depth tax knowledge is anchored in practice — built through extensive experience with matters of real consequence for businesses and owner-managers.
In parallel, he has taught at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitets Juridiske Fakultet) and at Professionshøjskolen København — a combination that gives clients counsel grounded in both theory and practice.
Teaching
& sharing knowledge
Nikolas teaches regularly at three of Denmark's leading legal and business-academic institutions. The combination of practice and teaching is the foundation for advice that is analytically sharp and practically grounded.
